While Kobe gets that the Olympic dream is about representing your country, Clippers player Chris Kaman thinks it’s all about him. He wasn’t good enough to make the US team, so he’s gone off and become a German citizen so he can play for Germany. According to Kaman:"Hey, the U.S. team didn't call me; this is my one chance to fulfill that Olympic dream every kid has," he said.
News flash, Chris, the dream is to represent YOUR country in the Olympics. Not your great-grandparents.
After all, didn’t we fight a war to stop the Nazis and prevent us all from becoming German citizens?
